The arrow that pierced polly seems to becpoisoned with curare. The symptoms of curare poisoning includes paralysis of muscles. It includes paralysis of respiratory muscles. Curare poisoning is reversible and the symptoms subside in 7-8 hours.
To aid respiration mouth to mouth breathing can be given. cholinesterase inhibitor drugs like neisyigmine, pyridostigmine and endrophonium acts as antidote for curare poisoning.
