Answer #1

     H2So4 is strong acid . it is completely ionizable

    H2SO4(aq) ----------> H^+ (aq) + HSO4^- (aq)

   10.1M -------------         10.1M ---------- 10.1M

   HSO4^-(aq) ------------> H^+ (aq) + SO4^2- (aq)

I     10.1                               10.1               0

C    -x                                     +x                +x

E    10.1-x                          10.1+x              +x

            Ka    = [H^+][SO4^2-]/[HSO4^-]

          1.2*10^-2   = (10.1+x)x/(10.1-x)

          1.2*10^-2*(10.1-x) = (10.1+x)x

               x   = 0.012

          [H^+]   = 10.1 + x    = 10.1 + 0.012   = 10.112

        PH   = -log[H^+]

                = -log10.112

                = -1.00 >>>>answer
