Answer #1

For the reading made, estimated value of temperature = (22 + 28)/2 = 25\circC.

Error = 25 -22 = 3\circC

Hence for 50\circC reading, meter tolerance = 3/50 x 100 = 6%

    The sensor has is capable of a maximum measurement of about 600-700 lux. To be sure this doesnt introduce φ problems in the data collection you will need to find the position where the sensor reads a maximum value. To do this, place the light and the sensor on the optical bench and slide the sensor toward the light while watching the reading on the screen. Find the position where the reading no longer increases. This will be the shorter...

    Typically, an individual's normal body temperature is about 37 degrees Celsius. When a body enters hypothermia, its temperature dramatically decreases below 35 degrees Celsius. In this situation, the body’s organs will slowly start to degrade in metabolic function and cardiac output and heart rate will become depressed. Likewise, in consequences, a fever, a body temperature between 38 to 42 degrees Celsius, may cause many systemic effects such as cognitive dysfunction and liver failure. In either case, it becomes equally important...

    20. The LM317 has a maximum operating temperature of 125°C. The TO-220 case version shows a thermal resistance of 4 C°/W, junction to case. It also shows 50 C°/W, junction to ambient (no heat sink used). Assuming an ambient temperature of 50°C. What is the maximum allowable power dissipation for each setup? Assume that the first version uses a 15 C°/W heat sink with a 2 C°/W case to heat sink interconnection. Please and Thank You

    A ruler is accurate when the temperature is 25 °C. When the temperature drops to −14 °C, the ruler shrinks and no longer measures distances accurately. However, the ruler can be made to read correctly if a force of magnitude 1.2 x 103 N is applied to each end so as to stretch it back to its original length. The ruler has a cross-sectional area of 1.6 ξ10−5 m2, and it is made from a material whose coefficient of linear...
