Answer: The most common occupational illnesses are respiratory disease and skin disease. According to one of the survey it has been reported that people working in the factory such as mills are more prone to the respiratory disease, including occupational asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), bronchiolitis obliterans, inhalation injury, interstitial lung diseases whereas people working in chemical industry are prone to both the diseases such as skin as well as respiratory diseases. The incidence rate across all sectors is on average 4.63 cases per 10,000 full-time employees. The harmful chemicals being used in the chemical industry and the toxic gases coming out from the reactions leads to breathing difficulty in the people who are prolonged exposure to them. Not only the respiratory diseases but also skin diseases such as skin rashes, skin allergy are common in workers of the chemical industry.
