Answer: Today's world is full with diverse range of people everywhere. So, at present it has become need that healthcare professionals should have self knowledge regarding cultural competence. It is difficult as one cannot easily learn all the beliefs or cultural differences once. It takes time for anything but it depends on how people are being treated.

The cultural competence involves the delivery of care to the patient that meets the cultural values, beliefs etc. Being a nurse working with multiple cultured people as well as handling Patients on day to day basis has become part of my life. Understanding the cultural competence and differences has enable to take better care of the patients. The most important that patients can easily explain and discuss their problems with the nurse who are culturally competent.
