Answer #1

Answer 1.a) Classical physics fails in explaining blackbody radiation but explains the internal energy's variation with T.

This is wrong because according to classical physics, there should be no limit to the energy of the light produced by the electrons vibrating at high frequencies. But experimentally, the blackbody spectrum always becomes small at the left-hand side (short wavelength, high frequency). That is variation of internal energy with temperature is not explained by classical physics .

3.The mean free path of free electrons in a metal at room temperature is approximately (b) 10 nm.

4. As we know larger is the refractive index smaller is the speed of light in that medium .

    1. Fill out the following table by indicating which general technique (light microscopy (LM) or electron microscopy (EM]) could be used to observe each structure or phenomenon. Put "no" in the box if the technique could not be used. If light microscopy can be used, name one technique (bright-field, phase-contrast, fluorescence, etc.) that you think would be effective. 10. Write a one-page summary of the attached paper? INTRODUCTION Many problems can develop in activated sludge operation that adversely affect effluent quality with origins in the engineering, hydraulic and microbiological components of the process. The real "heart" of the activated sludge system is the development and maintenance of a mixed microbial culture (activated sludge) that treats wastewater and which can be managed. One definition of a wastewater treatment plant operator is a "bug farmer", one who controls the aeration...
