Some of the practices which are not consumer friendly in nursing setting are

• Providing a very low quality of services(upon admission a nurse lacks orienting the patient to new environment like call light,dim light, treatment regimen,etc.,)This can make the patient to be anxious and fearful and result in poor cooperation
• Asking the patient to repeat things in every department and professionals can make the patient annoying and suspect the level of care received and leads to a poor impression on the healthcare professionals
• Lack of providing adequate information to the patient at the time if discharge can increase the chance of relapse and readmission leading to unnecessary medical expenses to the patient
• Not providing adequate comfort measures can make the patient feel helpless
• Lack of advocating on behalf of the patient upon request can create a sense of mistrust on the nurses and avoid telling any further information to them.
