- avoid redmeats before 3days of stool collection.

- eat well balanced diet including fiber

- avoid vitamin c food and supplements before three days

- avoid NSAID before 7days during the stool collection period..

Acetaminophen can be taken

- ask to pharmacist or physician if there is any doubt regarding collecting the stool

Steps to collect the stool

- do not collect sample during menstruation and make sure the stool is free from urine and blood or toilet bowl water

- flush the toilet well before collecting the sample..

- remove slide from paper dispensing envelope write your name,age,address using ball point pen on the front slide..don't tear the section apart..

- once u toilet it in a dry place use one stick to collect the sample and apply it on the thin layer on the A slide and take stool from some other portion and apply it on B slide like thin layer..and discard the stick in the waste container

- store it any dry and cool place by cover it with paper envelope

- repeat the steps 2_4 for the next two days..same like before after completing the last section,store the slide overnight by paper envelope to air dry..

- remove the slide from paper and place in the mailing pouch and return the sample to laboratory..

- handover the sample with in 14days after first sample collected..
