Higher the bicyclist is, the higher is his potential energy and the lower is his kinetic energy and the sum of these two energies is constatnt at all positions.

So,

7. Neither. The total energy is always constant.

8. E ( because at E the potential energy will be equal to that at A and hence his kinetic energy will be zero. So, no momentum to go further).
