Artificial intelligence (AI) is rapidly changing the world. Describe what you think the nature of the accounting function and the AIS in a large company will be like in the year 2028.

One important reason is that we use information to enhance our knowledge and then apply that knowledge to improve what we do. Information is the first step in a process of learning and improvement that enables us to make better decisions, improve the systems, places we work in, and enhance the quality of our own individual work. Technology has always played a kev role in accounting even dating back to early centuries with the use of calculators. I believe th<e accounting functions and the Accounting Information Systems in larger companies will continue to be challenging and extremely influential by 2028 Eight vears from now I see accounting being more computer base and no more general journals done on hand because the business environment will be more a virtually one instead of a physically one. Today most business sells merchandise and orders not only in a physical store or through catalogs where their customers usually speak to live person to buy merchandise. Now you can go on the internet and shop and do practically anything without leaving the comfort of your home. Companies are able to handle more than once customer at a time at any location around the world, which increases the profit that can be made (which is the goal of any business to receive the highest profit available) New Technologies and their effects on accounting processes have changed the way accounting functions are performed in any given organization especially that of a larger firm. Larger firms are scrutinized a lot more than smaller firms on their financial reporting because accounting software has provided financial managers and auditors with a more tidy tool to collect and allocate accounting data. New technologies in 2028, will always have an effect on a firms accounting processes that will improve documenting items on the internet and/or the companys networks. In 2028, new technologies will improve the methods for inputting accounting transactions and data into the system, the way data is stored, and how it can be easily retrieved. Enhanced technology will also allovw firms to document and track real time financial information making the reading and auditing of financial statements and reports.
