Please discuss nonclinical or preclinical studies that are conducted to support the evaluation of investigational medicinal products in humans. Elaborate on the importance of each of the studies in the development of medicinal products for human use.

It is one of the process of drug development.Pre clinical studies is testing of drug or products or medicine in animals prior trials carried out in humans. The aim is to collec the data which support safety of new drug. It is essential before the clinical trials human can be started. It is used to develop the best procedure for new drug scale up, select best formulation ,determine the route ,frequency and duration of exposure and support intended clinical trial design.

Rodents and non redents mammals are commonly used in preclinical studies to evaluate pharmacokinetic profile and general safety and toxicity pattern. It also help to identify potential target organs.
