Solubility of NaCl in water at 20 degC = 359 mg/ml
Solubility of Sodium bicarbonate in water at 20 degC = 96 mg/ml
Solubility of Sodium Sulfide in water at 20 degC = 186 mg/ml
First we take out 359 mg (Group 2)of all samples and try to dissolve in 1ml water. Since Sodium Chloride is the only salt that has solubility equal to 359 mg/ml, it is the only one salt that will get fully dissolved(Group 3). So, in first instance Sodium Chloride is the salt from group 1 that is identified.
Next we will take 186 mg of remaining salts and try to dissolve in 1 ml water. The salt sodium sulfide is the one which has solubility equal to 186 mg/ml, so it is the salt that gets fully dissolved. And sodium bicarbonate is the only one salt that doesn't dissolve.
So the sequence of blanks (from top to bottom):
1. Group 2 - 359 mg
2. Group 3 - Only one salt that fully dissolves
3. Group 1 - Sodium Chloride
4. Group 2 - 186 mg
5. Group 3 - only one salt that does not dissolve
6. Group 1 - Sodium bicarbonate
7. Group 1 - Sodium Sulfide (salt that fully dissolves)

Experiment 8 Solubility of lonic Precipitates Lead chloride is a slightly soluble salt. When lead chloride dissolves in pure water or an aqueous solution, the small quantity that dissolves completely ionizes and reaches equilibrium in a saturated solution, PbCl(s) ® Pb (aq) + 2Cl(aq) Kp = [Pb (C) (1) Lets be the molar solubility of lead chloride. In pure water, s = [Pb ) = (CH) / 2. In a solution containing Cl, a common ion to lead chloride, s...
