Medical surgical is one of the major unit in nursing curriculum. This gives an idea of how humans are when they are sick. The signs and symptoms and its necessary treatment and follow up can be learnt from this.This forms as the basic for all other subjects .

Though there are many topics in Med Surg 1, one of the topic which interests many is endocrine system. This is the basic unit for function of the entire organ of body. Eg., Diabetes mellitus is a disorder of endocrine system.

The lifestyle modification which one must follow after learning Med Surg are healthy diet ,exercise, stress free. Avoiding anything which can be harmful to health and decrease the quality of life. The completion of course will enable one to learn multiple variety of diseases and its management.
