Answer #1

Organization’s philosophy & nurse workload and staffing decisions.

Organization’s philosophy influences nurse workload and staffing decisions.Nursing is a high work load profession. Leaders of health care institutions must ensure that health care work force planning is a part of comprehensive strategic planning for their organizations. One of the primary concern in the philosophy of a health care organization is 'how can health care can be best administered to the greatest number of people'. Most of the employers are concerned with their profit not the well being of staffs. Money minded managements will squeeze out the employee's talent and make use them the most for achieving their goal of profit while recruiting the less number of staffs.Nurse patient ratio should be ensured by the health care institutions ,that should be based on national health ministry's standards. correct nurse patient ratio will reduce the workload of nurses. Organization’s philosophy regarding nurse workload and staffing decisions should be based on the nursing council or the government regulatory body for nurses' standards.
