standard reduction potential values of both species are given below

Cr3+ + 3 e−---->Cr(s)   E0= −0.74 V


Ag+ +  e− ---.>Ag(s)   +0.7996 V

The one with higher reduction potential will under go reduction . Here Ag has higher
reduction potential value. So it will undergo reduction when coupled with Cr

Thus Cr3+ can not oxidize Ag
