A Low-Residue Diet that limits the high-fiber foods, such as the whole-grain bread, vegetables, fruits cereals, nuts, and seeds. The goal of this diet is fewer and smaller bowel movements every day. The diet is generally used as part of the preparation of the bowel before diagnostic procedures such as; colonoscopy.
