Different concepts are identified that explain the human behaviour towards the strong will to do something. These behaviour are the part of human psychological development and are concerned with explanation to the specific attitude and behavior the individual portrays.

Addiction is the entier process that explains the behaviour of the individual that makes them dependent on a particular substance or thing. This behavior becomes so crucial and important for the individual that instead of the behavior harming their health and wellbeing they will still depend on it. Addictive develops by developing a compulsion to do something that later changes into dependency.

Compuylsion is a narrow term, that explains the intense urge of the individual to do a particular thing. Compulsion can sometimes lead to be a consistent behavior but not always. Compulsion are considered to be an essential part of the obsessive compulsive disorder.
