Answer: The nutrients provides nourishment to our body. The deficiency of the nutrients causes diseases. These diseases can be prevented by intake of sufficient nutrients. These nutrients can be achieved through a healthy diet and supplements. The green vegetables, fruits are rich in nutrients. Nuts, egg, fish, meat also provide protein and vitamins. For example the intake of omega 3 fatty acids reduces the risk of cardiovascular disease. This increases the good cholesterol level and is good for heart.

The vitamin A deficiency causes nightblindness, liver disorder.. Hence these diseases can be prevented by taking enough of vitamin A. It can be found in foods such as eggs, spinach etc.

The deficiency of calcium causes osteoporosis, weak bones etc. It is important to have sufficient amount of calcium to meet the body requirements. The calcium can be obtained from dairy products such as milk, curd etc.

Vitamin B12 is responsible for the healthy blood cells. Hence deficiency of this causes anemia. Banana contains huge amount of Vitamin B12.
