1. Identify the important causes and consequences of drug use and addiction in susceptible individuals, important causes include environmental and social causes.

2. Develop improved ways to stop drug use and its consequences. Young people should be trained and taught to deal with pressures of life.

3. Developing healthy habits like regular exercise and healthy diet. For examples games like chess can be organised in area where there is prevalence of drugs to divert the attention of youngsters.

4. More involvement of susceptible persons in programs that are already ongoing.
