used to obtain bone mineral density values.

this diagnostic test commonly used to evaluate

the mineral density of lumbar spine and hip.

* Quantitative Ultrasonography.

In this diagnostic test an ultrasound scanner is

used to detect bone mineral density of different

skeletal sites like phalanges,tibia,calcaneus etc

This test is commonly used for the assessment

of bone mineral density status of the children

due to lack of exposure to radiation.
