- Short-term restorative care provides a range of care and services to improve your wellbeing, help you stay independent by improving your ability to complete everyday tasks, or delay or avoid the need to enter long-term care.

- Goals:

All residents benefit from some form of restorative care. Restorative care may be given to improve a resident's condition, maintain the resident's current condition, and to prevent further declines. Additional benefits of restorative care will: Slow the rate of decline in chronic disease.

Restorative medical care is important:

The physiotherapist works with you alone or in a group to develop an exercise program to help increase your strength, balance and ability to move. The occupational therapist works with you to help maintain or improve your ability to perform daily activities such as bathing, dressing and preparing meals.
