Across countries, behavior and roles are distributed based on the gender. In case of feminine cultures like Sweden, people give more significance to relationships and quality of life. They work to live as a result job plays a small part in their life. This is reflected in the openness, nurturing and egalitarian nature of the people. This freedom and support allows the employees to take up challenging jobs which acts as a motivation. The people tend to stress on equality, team work and work-life balance. Managers are viewed as employees as others. Female managers tend to be soft and apply their intuition. There are emotion and easy to compromise. This is linked to the simple relationship between the managers and subordinates. The job is more of relationship oriented rather than task oriented. The management consists of equal number of male and female members with minimal wage gap between genders. Further, less working hours is preferred which is leads to lower job stress and burnout. However, according to Hofstede, the low masculinity or high feminity is suitable for small organization i.e., “small us beautiful”.
