Physical layer Radio frequency fingerprints :

We can identify wireless devices from their radio frequency emissions(RF).in a wireless device RF components and electronic circuits can have certain unique features.these unique features allow the physical layer to identify the wireless devices seperately.RF components of a system includes amplifiers,filters like electronic components these together constitutes RF signals so for each and every devices signals are also diffrent .this uniqunes in the signals give raise to the technology called .RFF(radio frequency fingerprints) . this technique can be now a days mainly used for physical layer authentication.

from the RF signal of a wireless device physical layer can authenticate the device.
