The vascular tissues are composed of complex tissues called xylem and phloem. In these, the tissue is composed of more than one type of cells. They develop from cambium. Xylem is composed of xylem vessels (tracheae), tracheids, xylem parenchyma and xylem fibers. Phloem is composed of sieve tubes and companion cells, phloem parenchyma and phloem fibers.
The less density parenchyma tissues of the stem separate the strong sclerenchyma fibers in outer faces. Hence the architecture of stem gives the strength to the stem maintaining its functionality.
