Solution –

The restaurant that has been chosen for analysis is Arabian Nights in London. The restaurant serves authentic Arabian cuisine and is a specialty restaurant.

  1. The management is divided into 3 levels. One is the manager level. Then comes the steward level. The middle layer is the chef level. The head chef controls the stewards. The manager is responsible for looking at the logistics and welcoming the guests. The steward looks at serving and cleaning. And the chef looks at the cooking and innovation.
  2. The specialty restaurant market is a highly competitive market in the upscale localities of London. The customer expectations and the continuous pressure on innovation is the key in the industry. There are many restaurants that come up daily and also get closed daily. The problem is that the customers look at the restaurant not just for the food but for the ambience which makes this business complicated.
  3. The macro environment is encouraging as the consumers value quality and are ready to pay a good price for the offering. The income levels are high and the perception about specialty restaurants is positive which makes this business lucrative.

  • Innovation The chefs invest a lot of time to innovate and continue to redefine the offerings to the consumers. This also helps to relatively provide a higher offering in comparison with the competition.
