• Political connections are given priority over merit: To solve this, an independent panel must be set, who have no idea about the background of the candidates. Also the panel must be set on impromptu basis so that no political approach or pressure can be put on them for selection.
• Seniority as well as experience is given an upper hand over merit, capability and qualification: A comprehensive test must be conducted to check the technical as well as practical knowledge of the candidate for the concerned position. Interviews must be conducted to check the behavioral requirements. A comprehensive score of all the rounds must be the basis for final selection.
• Selection processes are made more flexible so as to fill positions quickly, even when selection quality is getting compromised: Various rounds of screening and selection must be used so as to have the best fit candidate for the job at hand
