Secondary metabolites are the compounds that are produced by bacteria due to enviornmental stress. They do not have a vital role in growth, development, and reproduction lin plants they are synthesized at end or near the stationary phase of growth.

Bacitracin is a secondary metabolites that are formed by bacillus subtilis. It is used as antibiotics. It is synthesized by bacteria as a nonribosomal peptide synthetase that have a role in synthesize peptide.

Hence bacitracin is the antibiotics that is produced by bacteria as a secondary metabolites because it has role in synthesis of peptide.
