• Reproduction in gopher frog species will not happen naturally and it requires breeding intervention to expand its population. This breeding intervention involves inducing ovulation in female gopher frog by using hormone therapy. For this therapy, four exogenous hormone treatments are employed by using 11 frogs per treatment. They are:

1. Treatment A- Gonadotropin-releasing hormone agonist (GnRHa)
2. Treatment B- GnRHa with dopamine antagonist metoclopramide hydrochloric
3. Treatment C- GnRHa and human chorionic gonadotropim (hCG)
4. Treatment D- GnRHa with hCG following two low hCG priming doses

2b. Details of how treatments will be applied:

• The above mentioned treatments are conducted on female gopher frogs and each treatment involves 11 female gopher frogs.
• The treatment starts with ovulatory dose which starts at day 0 of the trial.
• The priming doses are given on day-4 and day-1 to ovulatory dose.
• The female gopher frogs are weighed before the administration of dose and the doses are prepared on per gram body-weight basis in μg/g units.
• Stock solutions are prepared and the GnRHa powder is reconstituted in distilled water and made as 1μg/μl concentration. All the prepared doses are administered into female gopher frogs and tested for the number of eggs.
