As we all know java is object oriented programming languages having different features like security, distributed and multi threaded, modularity etc. All these features can be stated and corelated with different applications with large scope. Implementing Java Applications can be achieved in different ways. They are:

   1) Java Archieve (JAR)

   2) Java Web Application Archieve (WAR)

   3) Enterprise Application Archieve (EAR)

   4) Resource Application Archieve (RAR)

New trends in the application formats also desired to have different project scenarios like APK (Android Programming Kit), JAD through midlet API's.

   Depending upon the client request, application can be choosen.
Now-a days Integrated application with the combination of Online and Enterprise services are integrated.Its all about the way how we initiate the project with java application. It better to have these combination would wake good approach. They are:

   1) POM (Project Object Management tool) like Maven, ANT, Gradle

   2) Application Server like Tomcat, Glassfish through JBoss etc

   3) Eclipse IDE or NetBeans IDE for Integrating and Devel
  
   4) Web Services like Rest or Soap implementation.
  
   5) Databases like Oracle, MySQL, DB2 or PostgreSQL

Applications such as Online carts, Online event management or online grocery etc as online applications. Also Biometric applications through Java Swings and Image Analysis using Open CV APIS etc.

Some of the best libraries used when implementing projects in Java are:

1) Server Side libraries : Servlet-api.jar for HttpServlet
    jsp-api.jar, struts.jar, apache-commons.jar,slf4j.jar etc

2) Collection APIS using util package

3) Database Packages like ojdbc.jar for OracleDB, mysql-connector-java.jar for MySQL DB, db2jcc.jar for IBM DB2 etc as databases.

4) Object Relational Mapping (ORM) libraries like hibernate-core.jar, jsr-annotations.jar etc for Object-database Connection

5) Web services API's like jackson libraries and Jersey libraries.

All the above libraries can be downloaded from Maven Repository using POM tools as discussed earlier.
