The U.S. has great disparity between the poor and rich, especially when compared to other industrialized countries. What do you envision for the future? Is education the answer to greater income and wealth? Can people change their social class? Does our comfortable style of life depend on keeping some people poor? What would happen if the "dirty work" suddenly cost two or three times as much to get it done?

US is one of the most important developed countries that struggles hard to bridge the gap between the rich and the poor. It is also run by the power elites and they determine the laws and policies of the country. Years long discrimination and slavery has left the African Americans with a great disadvantage and they still struggle hard to come up in life. Most of the Americans just enjoyed the white superiority concept throughout many years without knowing that they were being used by the power elites who are also wealthy to control the society and politics. This has left many white people also disadvantaged and helpless. The increasing prices, lack of social support, unemployment and poverty has left many people irrespective their race, culture and religion the preys to the capitalistic and powerful people both in the politics and society. Although there are many programs that tries to work towards bridging this gap, institutional racism and the class difference is still in work which would cost more for the US society to rectify it.
