This tactic would be an example of Affiliate marketing, while the TV commercials described above would be an example of Paid Media marketing.

Affiliate marketing is one in which the affiliate marketing company gains incentives and commission on basis of the sales they have generated. Here, the dealership salespeople would win a trip to Hawaii if they would sell atleast ten new vehicles in the first month. The trip to Hawaii acts as an incentive in this case.

Paid Media marketing involves using media such as billboards, newspapers, television, magazines, etc to advertise your product or services. The organization pays for the advertisements to the media
