TRUE
Barr body is discovered by Murray Barr. It is an inactive X chromosome. In humans, females have 2 X-chromosomes and males have a single X-chromosome. So in human female one of the two X chromosomes is inactivated and it can be observed as darkly stained spot due to heterochromatinization. Since human male have a single X-chromosome and a Y-chromosome, there is no need of X-chromosome inactivation in males. Barr bodies are thus required to regulate and balance the amount of transcribed X-linked gene products in males and females.

There are more cells than organelles in the human body. Briefly explain why it is false or reword it to make it true.
Name one type of cell in the human body from which you could NOT extract chromosomal DNA and explain why.

Dosage compensation involves inactivation of the Y chromosome in males in order to equalize gene expression between the sexes.(Click to select) 02. One of the X chromosomes in each cell of a female is inactivated early in embryonic development, before the embryo's sex is determined. (Click to select) 03. In a female, the same X chromosome...
