Answer: A project champion is a person who ensures the success of the project. He is a senior officer who really wants the project to be a success and do everything like ensuring every stakeholder is on board and he/she is the person behind the success of the project. Some of the Nontraditional duties/roles of the Project champion are:

• Cheerleader: Project Champion is the cheerleader. He/she has the duty of motivating every employee. He/she makes sure that every person is well motivated towards achievement of the project and work their best to achieve the project goals.
• Visionary: Project Champion has a clear vision of the project. He conveys the strategic vision of the project across the organization. He has clear sense of purpose.
• Politician: A project champion works smoothly and attempt to secure cooperation of senior manager and officers with the project.
• Risk taker : A project champion is a risk taker. He takes sufficient risk ti achieve the project goal.
• Ambassador: A project champion acts as an ambassador of the project. He is representative of the the project to other senior officials.
