Which personnel within the organisation might need to be regularly informed of progress and of the final actions to be taken? Discuss in 100–120 words.
In my opinion, the manager is the personnel who need to be regularly informed of progress and of the final actions to be taken. A manager is a person in the organization who directs the activities of others. The managers perform their work at different levels and they are called by different names. The first line managers are usually called supervisors or in a manufacturing they may be called foremen. Middle level mangers include all levels of management between the supervisory level and the top level of the organization. A manager has to perform functions like planning, organizing, staffing, directing and controlling. All these functions are essential for running an organization smoothly and achieving enterprise objectives. Planning is required for setting goals and establishing strategies for coordinating activities. And also they act as a middle men between lower level workers and the top level management like CFO and CEOs. So he need to be informed always about the progress of the works and also the decisions taken by the top management. The managers are the person who is having contact with both workers and top management. A proper communication and coordination of the manager is very crucial for the smooth running of any business.
The manager is acting as a figure head and have to perform all jobs of social nature. He has to act as leader to the employees and always need to motivate workers and to listen their issues. Another major activity is he has to stand as a spoke person and as a monitor and disseminator as well. And also he has to communicate everything to the top in order to assist them in taking decisions.
So it is important that the manager should always aware of the movements in the organization to ensure the even flow of activities.
