Answer #1

According to the question, In each year

At first lake Eric contains 35% of pollutant

And lake Ontario contains 65% of pollutant

At second time

In Lake Ontario 90% of that pollutant remains and rest flow to lake Eric

So, actual percentage of pollutant in lake Ontario is 90% of 65

Which is equal to 58.5

And actual percentage of pollutant in lake eric= 35% remain +10% of 65 pollutant flown from river Ontario

=35+6.5

=41.5% of pollutant

Lake Ontario contains 58.5% of pollutant every year

And Lake Eric contains 41.5% of pollutant every year in the long run

PLEASE SHOW WORK. WILL UPVOTE WITHIN A DAY. Part B: Let's consider a town with a low-capacity town route (1500 vehicles per hour) and a high-capacity bypass (3000 v/h), as shown below. The bypass is longer but has higher geometric design standards. Let's assume that during morning peak, 2000 drivers approach the town and all of them want to use the shortest route, i.e. via town center. Not all drivers will be able to use this route, since it would...

    10. Write a one-page summary of the attached paper? INTRODUCTION Many problems can develop in activated sludge operation that adversely affect effluent quality with origins in the engineering, hydraulic and microbiological components of the process. The real "heart" of the activated sludge system is the development and maintenance of a mixed microbial culture (activated sludge) that treats wastewater and which can be managed. One definition of a wastewater treatment plant operator is a "bug farmer", one who controls the aeration...
