In your initial post, suppose that you are the CEO of an organization and you want to implement an S&OP plan/process. How would you begin the process of successfully performing sales and operations planning? How would you sustain it?

For bringing the highest implementing process in sales it is required to maintain the promotions through different marketing channels. Correct promotions and continuous interaction with the customers are highly essential for sales. When a customer feedbacks are known it will be helpful for the organization to target the market according to the segments needs.
For increasing the sales it is required to stay active on the social platforms that are the most targeting place to get more number of customers. Suppose, a product is going to launch in the market, for increasing the sales it is required to create a major publicity in the highly targeted areas through which new leads can be generated and it will help to excel the business growth. Therefore, it is necessary to know the customers first to perform the sales in a better way.

The operation part basically falls under the manufacturing segment, the product which the organization will manufacture are required to be correctly driven. The suppliers who will directly involve in maintaining the supply chain processes are required to be correctly verified before granting for manufacturing. The quality checks at all stages are required to be correctly done so to ensure good quality products. The operations teams are highly necessary to be focused and should deal with the organization process correctly to excel the growth and manufacture quality products to high-rise the reputation in the market.

To sustain the S&OP process, it requires leading the process correctly. For sales, it requires a major follow-up with the customers to make all their queries clear and to highly convince them to buy the organizations product. The promotions are necessary to be taken care of the all possible needs and secondly, the operations management teams are likely required to be active while quality checks of the manufacturing products. If all process goes well, then it will sustain longer by benefiting the organizational process and will also lead to generate high growth in the revenue generation.
