c. An AaBb offspring from a cross AaBb x AABB? 12. x 2) (6 points) heterozygous for the two genes that control bunny color. You cross two bunnies which were yellow bunnies, and 4 white BbHh, and you obtain the following progeny: 9 brown bunnies, 3 by epistasis. What is bunnies. You think that this result indicates that bunny color is controlled epistasis and how would it give these results? 3) (8 points an x-linked recessive trait. A woman that is heterozygous f In humans, color blindness Xb, is man normal vision marries a color blind a. What are the genotypes of each of the parents Father: Mother: Please help #2! Genetics !!

Answer #1

c) AbBb offspring is formed from a cross AaBb X AABB, the punnett square is as follows: -

genotype AB Ab aB ab
AB AABB AABb AaBB AaBb
AB AABB AABb AaBB AaBb
AB AABB AABb AaBB AaBb
AB AABB AABb AaBB AaBb

Hence, based the above, An offspring AaBb from the cross between AaBb X AABB is 1/4.

3) As the color-blind allele is linked to the X chromosome and mother is heterozygous for the allele then,

genotype of the mother would be XbX (as mother has 2X chromosome) and

genotype of the father would be XbY (as father has single X chromosome)

Green-weakness partial color blindness, or deuteranomaly, is a sex-linked recessive trait. The green-weakness allele, g, is recessive to the allele for normal color vision, G. Another form of abnormal vision is total color blindness which is due to an autosomal gene, t, which is recessive to its counterpart allele, T, for normal vision. A man with a normal phenotype marries a woman with green-weakness partial color blindness. Both individuals are heterozygous for autosomal color blindness.
