CREATIVE PROBLEM-SOLVING STEPS Problem Solving Steps Define the problem. Clearly state the problem. e.g. I have missed 3 classes. Gather and interpret information. Gather all the information you need to solve the problem. e.g. review the reasons and the consequences of missing a class. Develop and implement a plan. Find a Strategy. e.g. asking the advisor, getting involved in group study etc. Evaluate the plan. Think why this plan is better than other options. e.g. ask yourself is this is the best solution? Will you meet your goals by following this plan?

Question 2:

Write an email to your teacher describing your plans and things you would like to achieve during the Corona compulsory house stay. When writing your email, make sure that you are following the netiquettes for writing effective emails that you’ve learned in Meeting 2. You are required to do the following:

1. Provide a screenshot of the required email (No need to send the email).

2. Provide another screenshot of the required email where you marked (with any drawing shape like arrows or circles) and wrote (in the text) the 3 basic parts of email messages.

1. Define the problem:

The problem is to design and implement a Sentiment Analysis on Speech Data Algorithm in the domain of Machine Learning

2. Gather and interpret information about the problem.

Gathering information about all the existing research that has been done on this topic. Collect all the IEEE survery papers as well as research papers and go through each of them for reference so that our algorithm can work better than them

Also we need to collect the required data sets to train our algorithm and test it. So we will have numberous auido files that have recorded voice/speech data that depict certain sentiment.

3. Develop and implement a plan

• Read all the survey and research papers so that we can go at least one step ahead than previous algorithms
• Collect the speech data as out data sets
• Divide the data set into a ratio of 80-20: 80 % will be used to train the data and rest 20% will be used to do the testing
• Find out the attributes that can help in indentifying the sentiment
• Then devise the algorithm and write its Python Implementation
• Then train the data and at last do the testing to check the accuracy.

4. Evaluate the plan

Based on experience, I can surely claim that my algorithm would work with higher accuracy that previous algorithms because I've included several new attributes that are vital to recognise sentiment from speech. Also we have used a much larger data set to train the system, so I'm hopeful of better results, with around accuracy of 95%.
