Often, citizens wonder about the purpose of conservation of a single species and criticize the efforts. How would you explain to a critic the importance of any species? Use at least TWO specific ecological concepts that explain the interdependence of species within an ecosystem in your answer.
Question
Each species of organism whether it is a plant or an animal have importance in the ecosystem irrespective of the size of species as each species play their specific role. Each species are connected with other species through a food chain. Each food web start with producer and end with consumers and have organism of many species that can interact in many ways. If any of the species in that chain get extinct, it will disturb whole food chain and lead to the extinction of other species too.
For example, the grass is the plant to which rabbit feed. If the species of grass get extinct, it will lead to the decrease in the population of rabbit and finally lead to their extinction too. Other example, include if tiger species got extinct, it will lead to the increase in herbivorous animal which feed on plants. Therefore it will lead to the decrease in number of plants.

DNA STRUCTURE Imagine two species, X & Y. Each species is haploid and has a single chromosome of 10,000 base pairs (bp or 10 kbp). You are analyzing their DNA, and you find that 2 kbp of species X are adenine and 4 kbp of species Y are guanine. Use this information to answer the following questions: 9. For species X, how many kbp of DNA there are for each of the four nitrogenous bases: adenine (A), thymine (T), guanine...

It can be a present or past manager or someone whom you have never worked with. You may...
We conducted a comprehensive literature search on drones in conservation up to October 2nd 2018, in line with related studies [10,11,35]. All searches were done by the same person in English, mainly using Google Scholar. This was further complemented through reference harvesting, citation tracking, abstracts in conference programs, and author search, using Research Gate and Mendeley (see PRISMA Flowchart in Supplementary Figure S1 Checklist and list of studies reviewed in Table S1). We then removed duplicate and unrelated results. Finally,...
Procedure Four different colors of beads, representing four species of bacteria, all possible residents of the microbiome, will be utilized. The species differ naturally in their resistance to a particular antibiotic. Three different antibiotic treatment regimens will be modeled: following doctor’s orders ending antibiotic treatment early skipping Day 3 of treatment Your initial population of bacteria is represented as follows: 40 beads that represent Species 1, the most susceptible to the antibiotic (susceptible on Day 1 of treatment) 30 beads...

1..Research the microorganisms listed below. List the full taxonomy (phylum, class, order, family, genus, species) of each microorganism, and write at least two sentences about a feature/characteristic of each microbe that you find interesting (we are using these strains in experiments in the next laboratory, so linking this feature/characteristic to the laboratory practical will assist your understanding). Streptococcus pneumoniae: Staphylococcus aureus: Escherichia coli: Saccharomyces cerevisiae. 2.Describe the difference between alpha-, beta-, and gamma-haemolysis? 3.What is a microbial cultivation selective medium...
