• Wireless computing devices are portable, which is the risk of information theft as well as device theft.
• The devices used in public have the risk of password theft and access code theft.
• The devices may be attacked by the viruses as the employees access the mobiles and other devices on public Wi-Fi which may not be protected.

Advantages:

• The employees get the flexibility to work from any location anytime.
• The productivity of employees increase as they can work according to their convenience
• The organizations will need to spend less on personal computers and infrastructure for immobile devices.

2. Bring Your Own Device:

Risks:

• The employees can store the confidential information, which has the risk of theft.
• Personal devices are vulnerable as family members and friends have access to the devices many a time.

Advantages:

• The employees have more flexibility and convenience as they have to carry only one device.
• Employee productivity and efficiency increases as they have command on their own devices.
• The organization does not need to spend extra to buy devices for the employees or develop infrastructure for the work.
