The client is out of breath / short of breath (heart is working too hard), o if out of breath at rest- this person needs chest x-rays and a lot of blood work o Another cause could be anxiety (rapid pulse if a person hates what s/he is doing) . Some people get white coat syndrome do not like going to the doctors, their blood pressure elevates. If respirations are higher than 20 (normal is 16-20 breathes per minute) the client might have issues with pneumonia or a bad cold.
