Explanation: During the meiosis process of eukaryotic cells chromosomal crossing over is taken placed and the product generated from meiosis is called as a recombinant. In the crossing over homologous chromosomes can pairs with each other and transfer the genetic information from each other. In independent assortment a novel set of genetic information that can be passed on from the parents to the offspring. So the output cell of meiosis has the same genetic constitution of one of the input cells in the recombination. The process of recombination can occurs naturally.
