Answer #1

Tourism players have to turn to information and advice in their marketing strategy. This means making the customers aware of what the industry is doing to ensure safety and what customers can expect given the circumstances.

The COVID-19 pandemic has had a major impact on the tourism industry. Travel advisories and travel restrictions initially made it difficult to travel for tourism. With most of these restrictions lifted, travelers' only problem is the risk of contracting the virus. To arouse interest in tourism again, the tourism industry should adopt an alternative marketing strategy. One strategy that tourism industry players should adopt is information. Tourism players should target consumers with information and advice about tourism and how to navigate the process during the pandemic (Skift, 2020). Consumers need to have more information for them to make decisions. The players need to elaborate on the steps they are taking to ensure their customers' safety rather than just promising a good experience.
