DNA polymerase III is a main replicating enzyme because of its high polymerization (1000 nucleotides per seconds) and processivity rate. It has four components- catalytic core component, dimerization componenet, processivity component and a clamp loader. Catalytic component consists of three subunits 5'-3' polymerase activity, 3'-5' exonuclease activity for proofreading and the \Theta which enhace the proofreading activity. The 3'-5' exonuclease activity is responsible for proofreading which enhance the accuracy of the DNA synthesis. So, if the DNA polymerase III lacks the exonuclease activity the rate of mutation will increase. The overall replication rate will also increase.

Hence, answer C is right- The new DNA strand would grow more quickly (rate of daughter strand elongation rate will increase).
