Compulsory heterosexuality - The normality and dominance of individuals to be heterosexual is termed as the concept of compulsory heterosexuality. Society forced the compulsory heterosexuality which meant that only the normal sexual relationship of attractions to the opposite gender was allowed. Sexual personal choices as were not given any importance or preference.

Influence of society on the expression of sexuality - Society has certain expectations from each gender. Society defines sexual behavior by the gender of a person. Homosexuality is often discouraged. Sexual identification of a person is compromised if it is non-heterosexual like the queer, transgenders, homosexual or bisexual. Sexuality is and should be decided biologically and not by the norms of the society.

Bisexuality - When a person of any gender is attracted to both men and women equally, it is termed to be a bisexual relationship.

Sexual fluidity - Any change in a person's sexual identity or the preference of the gender of sexual partner depending on the situation is known as the sexual fluidity.

Queer or questioning - The non-normative or non-heterosexual individuals make up the queer group. this includes the gay, lesbians, the transgenders, intersex people, bisexuals, and the cis people. Questioning is the process when an individual experiences doubt or instability in deciding own sexual orientation.
