Xlerator Hand Dryer was invented to dry the hands without the use of towels or napkins. It blows hot air at a high speed to dry thr hands.
Household
The first hand dryer was patented in 1921 by R.B. Hibbard, D. J. Watrous and J.G. Bassett.
It makes use of heating element and an air blower to dry the hands.
The purpose was to remove the use of hand towels to dry hands and rather use electricity for the same purpose.
This invention lead to the reduction in litter and waste in comparison with paper towels, which cannot be recycled and hence they claimed to be better for the environment.
