Question

You are working with the Engineers Without Borders (EWB) and are on an assignment in a country in east Africa. You have just finished installing a 20 m3 storage tank for filtered river water for this small community. But since it is only filtered it needs to be disinfected to be safe to drink. Calcium hypochlorite, Ca(OCI)2, in tablet form, typical of the chorine used in pools here in the U.S The tablet form contains about 65% of its weight as equivalent chlorine. To be safe to drink we need to have a chlorine dose of 2.5 mg/L as equivalent chlorine. Since the locals know that you took this class and you know all about feeding chemicals, you have been asked to calculate the kg of Ca(OCI)2 to add to each tank of water. How much should you add? Remember, if you add too much, nobody will drink it.Please provide clear working out to show how you got the answer

please help with how the flow chart will look like? thank you! Synthesis of n-Butyl Bromide Purpose of the Experiment: In this week's experiment you will be synthesizing n-butylbromide (IUPAC 1-bromobutane from 1-butanol and a concentrated acid via a nucleophilie substitution reaction. It is important to know that alcohols dehydrate to form alkenes in the presence of strong inorganic acids, so care must be taken in this experiment not to heat the reaction too vigorously else an elimination reaction may...
