I need help solving this problem! I do not understand the
underlying concepts so a detailed explanation with work shown would
be greatly appreciated!

In chemical reactions, we take one or more Chemicals (also known as reactant) which reacting with each other and giving us the main product but sometimes they are also giving some site products.

Here, in this chemical reaction we have 2 reactant which giving us product with no side product these type of reaction called addition reaction.
In exercise, question(b) and questions(c) are these type of example because they will give no side product.
How to find the missing reactant or product:-
1. First noticed that which carbon undergoes in change in configuration.

here only carbon 1st and 2nd are undergoes in the change.
2. find what changes occur in the reaction.

Hence, here only the addition of two bromine molecule takes place which can be come from br2 molecule.
3. Add the missing chemical in the reaction.

1. Here only carbon 3rd and 4th are undergoes in change in configuration.

Here only two hydrogen are adding which can be come from H2
molecule.
In the question (a) there is a two product and only one reactant these type of reaction also known as elimination reactions where is a side product is get eliminated.
1. The change occur only on Carbon 1st and 2nd
2.
thus, clearly one atom of
Hydrogen and one atom of chlorine is get eliminated which will be
shown as HCl.
so the complete reaction will be
hhhh

6. At 25°C, a steel rod is 2 cm in diameter. It is to fit a hollow steel ring of diameter 1.995 cm. What temperature should the ring be heated to if the rod is to just fit in it? Alternatively, can the rod be subjected to some temperature change to get the same effect? Take the coefficient of linear expansion of steel=1.2 X 10-5/°Celsius

Need help understanding what to do in this lab!! INSTRUCTIONS:b Write an assembler program that will calculate the factorial of an integer value inputted by the user. Your program should detect if an overflow occurs. If no overflow occurred, then print out the value of the factorial otherwise print out a message indicating that an overflow occurred. Assume that military aircraft use ejection seats designed for men weighing between 145.5 lb and 202 lb. If women's weights are normally distributed with a mean of 173.1 lb and a standard deviation of 42.1 lb, what percentage of women have weights that are within those limits? Are many women excluded with those specifications? The percentage of...
