synovial fluid is used to diagnose the cause of joint inflammation, swelling and pain.

a. A normal synovial fluid does not clot. it clot only when it is inflammed. it also got clot in mucin clot test.

in mucin clot test,when acetic acid is added, synovial fluid interact with hyaluronate.

b. physiologic saline can be used for dilution of fluid.

c. Septic arthritis and rheumatoid arthritis could be possible. this WBCs count shows disease come under septic and inflammatory category.
