Issues involved in Cross-Cultural Business Communication can be classified and indentified on following basis, plus Recommendations involved are as:

• Language Barrier: Most basis and common problem or resistance faced by anybody. Though English is referred as the common international language of business, but globally every company or Multi National Company does not use English on frequently. People are still learning day by day. Top and senior management people might be better familiar and conversant, but junior managers and staff members still face difficulty in understanding and comprehending, apart from speaking English. Hence, many use interpreters.

Professional trainings, individual or company provided are best way to overcome it.

• Cultural Barriers: Every country differs in set of cultural values, business ethics and process of doing it, thinking style, behaviour, facial expressions and body gestures. These could be significant barrier in information communication from one person to another. Example US people differ way from Japanese.

To overcome this, it is important to respect for others’ cultures. Synchronization with each others’ values is more important for healthy business relationships.

• Stereotypes: people can make different and variety of assumptions about the characteristics of members from other cultural background, way of behaving and responding/ talking etc. This could result in negative or even hostile and a much serious barrier beyond one’s thinking.

Dealing with a cool mind and being humble, not instantaneous reactions are finer ways to overcome it.

• Prejudice: Comes from past experiences, could be good, and could be bad. It depends on how the people involved in that situation manage it.
